Don King (NDT; BA; HDE; MBA) – Don is the retired MD of The International Hotel School now living in the Riebeek Valley and has set up the Ikusasa Campus there. Don has 17 years’ experience in Higher Education and 23 years Executive Management experience in the Food Service, Hotel and Higher Education Institutions.

Carolyn McDougall (BSc (Dietetics); PGD Dietetics; MBA) – Carolyn is the Dean of The International Hotel School and has worked in both Higher Education and Further Education and Training (FET) for 10 years. Prior to her full time involvement in education Carolyn worked in the Food Service Management industry for 23 years. During this time she served on the advisory board of the Hospitality Department of East Cape Technikon and was involved with several education facilities as a guest lecturer.

Phumzile Langa

Phumzile Langa studied at the University of KwaZulu Natal and majored in English and Speech & Drama. Her varied working career includes the Playhouse Theatre in the Education & Community Development Department, Calypso Consulting, a travel and tourism consultancy, the Human Resources and HR Solutions industries, Public Relations and as a Spokesperson for the KwaZulu Natal Premier’s Reference Group on Migration and Community Integration. Her love for music and passion for food has resulted in her involvement in the Annual Jazz and Food Festivals in Durban. She is also involved in various community and social cohesion initiatives within in the province.

Steve Mack is an Educational Psychologist who has been in private practice for over 30 years. He was previously a high school teacher for 9 years. He has a special interest in the assessment and development of young people and adults. He was previously involved with the International Hotel School as the Dean and a director from 1996 – 2012. He was also a board member and consultant to the Christina Martin School of Food and Wine.
